The management and staff of Eastern Mooring Solutions are committed to managing resources in ways consistent with current sustainable waterfront building practices. The commitment and implementation of these practices are management priorities.

By adopting these Practices, we publicly affirm our belief that waterfront businesses  have a responsibility to maintain a sustainable environment, and must conduct all aspects of their business as responsible stewards. We are dedicated to operating in a manner that conserves energy use emissions and waste; and promotes the efficient use of all resources, specifically clean water programs.

Eastern Mooring Solutions environmental management system (EMS) to help institutionalize our approach to resource management and environmental stewardship. These Practices are designed to meet or exceed current clean water and clean marina management systems.

We are committed to achieving full compliance with all applicable environmental laws, regulations and other relevant standards in all of our operations and to minimizing the environmental impacts of our activities. 

We will verify our level of compliance through periodic audits and will take timely action to resolve any compliance issues.  We will minimize our negative environmental impacts by using the principles of pollution prevention to eliminate potential pollution at its source.  The number and amount of environmental impacts will be reduced through development and implementation of a Sustainable Procurement Program which will include renewable, reusable, recyclable, and recycled-content materials. 

Management and the staff of Eastern Mooring Solutions will implement our EMS on an ongoing basis.  We will seek to continually improve the performance of our Practices to help achieve our goals of a sustainable operation with minimal environmental impacts. 

We welcome input from external parties who use our facilities or purchase our products and services. Our policy will be communicated to employees, stakeholders, and the public. Through successful use of our EMS, we will become a demonstrated environmental leader in our operations and in our contact with other industries.

We will institutionalize this management system so that it can be used effectively by current and future employees, support companies and other industry professionals.

We will update our practices constantly in light of advances in technology and new understandings in health and environmental science. As industry partners in waterfront development we will promote a dynamic process to expand the use of these Practices. (pdf version)
